Starter kit questions, answered
Do I need any other equipment?
Check what's included with each kit. Most pour over setups also need a kettle and freshly ground coffee. Kitchen scales help you get consistent results, but aren't essential to start.
Which coffee should I start with?
Choose ground coffee with a filter grind, or whole beans if your kit includes a grinder. A light or medium roast single origin coffee is a lovely way to taste what pour over does best.
Is pour over difficult?
Not at all. Pour a little hot water to wet the coffee, wait about 30 seconds, then pour the rest slowly in circles. You'll be making a great cup within a few tries.
